Our shearers harvest fleeces from small, local farms humanely and lovingly, and sometimes the farmers do not need the wool. In this case, they will buy the wool and have it processed into useful yarns for sale to the public directly or to small farms such as ours so that we may help get this good wool out into he world. The yarn is soft and fine, its pedigree is from the Targhee-Polypay line of sheep - and it is useful for all sorts of garments or accessories. The yarn is lofty and great for colorwork but also has enough body to showcase texture. We dyed ours with goldenrod from the fields for a warm gold.
