This is a hand-felted sheep skin rug or throw using the gorgeous wool from our Shetland wether(neutered male), ‘Darwin’. After shearing, we hand washed his fleece and sectioned out the nicest pieces of his wool. The fiber is felted to the back of a piece of merino wool roving. It looks very much like a real sheep skin, but Darwin, the silly boy, is out grazing and growing a new fleece as we type!
This item is a black fleece with edges of fawn, all natural and un-dyed. It measures about 37 inches wide x 38 inches long. Spot clean with mild soap and dry in the sun. Shake it out on occasion to give it its fluff.
