In this class we'll dip our toes into the world of Fair Isle knitting! We will look at choosing colors, color dominance, how to strand the yarn, and how to speed swatch in the round. Gudrun will also be demonstrating the art or  steeking (cutting into our knitting), which is a fantastic skill to have!

For the Fair Isle Taster class we'll be working with a tried-and-true product, Jamieson's of Shetland 2ply Spindrift. This fingering weight yarn is 100% Shetland wool, and traditionally used for Fair Isle knitting. You will choose your 5 colors from the Wing & A Prayer Farm Wool Shop. The Fair Isle Taster class is a 3 hour session that's appropriate for both the beginner or seasoned colorwork knitter.
